It started simple enough, a facebook chat with my dad and the premise 'Ways the Christian church could better spend their money.'

Suggestions including (but not limited to):
- feed the poor
- shelter the homeless
- take care of widows and children
- only collect 9% of congregants pre-tax income?

It got me wondering; when did the Christian church lose its way? When did it stop following the teachings of Jesus? How can people with pure intentions become so misguided?

I had to assume it was just my experience of church. That surely somewhere, out there, some people were getting it right. This is my journey of searching for them.
